Huge score at Walgreens this week!

This week, I scored $245 worth of items for $11… and that included taxes! I started by purchasing 24 Ecotrins (I split this between 2 stores which had a huge stock). When I combined my $10 in RRs from last week, I only contributed a total of $11 from my own wallet. And this includes a $12.99 Igloo lunchbox (not pictured) that I have been needing for work.

I did have a little trouble when it came to the Skintimate Shave Gels. They rang up at the first store for $2.99, but didn’t produce a RR. So the manager refunded me the $2 for each one I purchased. At the second store, they were ringing up at $3.79, so the manager reduced the price to $0.99 for each one that I bought.

As a footnote, I did not clear shelves for any of the items. Both stores were fully stocked. Also, the Ecotrin will not be wasted. My neighbors on both sides of me use baby aspirin daily, so I have given them the Ecotrins. The Comet was shared with one of those neighbors and her sister. The Tecnu cream will be shared amongst various households of friends and family. When I find fabulous deals like these, I share amongst many households, so there is no hoarding or wasting. Whatever remains, if any, will be donated.

This weeks Walgreens and CVS Buys, plus a MM next week!

Walgreens & CVS

This week, I took advantage of the RRs for the Sleep Sheets and the Oasis Mouthwash. By adding the .99 cent RR from last week, I was able to get all of these completely free after the initial $5 investment. I added the Nice aluminum foil for .79 cents (after the Wags coupon) so I could use the .99 cent RR (from the deal on Starbucks last week). I divided my purchases between 2 stores, but the second store was out of the foil, so I used 3 of the Chunky candy that is on sale for .49 cents as my fillers.

At CVS, I make a quick stop to pick up the free Salonpas Heat pads that were free after ECBs. I have an account of my own and one for  my ex, so I was able to pick up 2 of them for free! As a bonus, the CVS machine printed out my $5 Beauty Club ECB and I got 2 of the $3 off a $10 cosmetic purchase…. one for each card. I will definately be heading back this week. Sweet!

My total came to $9.63 plus tax (including the initial $5 investment for the first Sleep Sheets) but I still have a $5 RR remaining. This makes my total $4.63 plus tax! Good deal!!!

Heads up to everyone for next week at Walgreens…. make sure you have some of those Ecotrin coupons for $1.50/1. They will be having a sale for Ecotrin that will be a moneymaker. The products will be 2 for $3. After using 2 coupons, you will get them free. Then there is a RR for $2 when you buy 2!!! That makes each one a $1 moneymaker!! Cool Beans! I only had a few of these coupons, so I headed to eBay where I got 20 coupons for $5. I will be stocked on Ecotrin for a long while and I will be getting paid to buy them!

I love making money when I go Shopping With Coupons!!! :D :D :D

(Almost) Even Trade @ Walgreens this week

Walgreens Freebies

I stopped at Walgreens to pick up the MoNeYmAkInG Starbucks Refreshers today and got a little more. The Starbucks were on sale for 99 cents and came with a 99 cent RR. Best thing was my 11 MQ that made them all FREE, except tax. I made a profit of $0.88 after taxes on each one of these. Totalled $9.68 profit after taxes. :D :D

Then, I found a great deal on Right Guard deodorant for $2.19 each. I used 3 B1G1 free coupons and 3 $0.75/1 MQ. My total for each deodorant was $0.72 or $4.32 for all of them! 6 for the price of one at regular price!

I splurged and used all 1o of my Dove MQ for 0.50/2 makin them 0.25 each. YUM YUM, Im shocked that all 20 made it in the photo!!! (Althought I do have to admit it is attaching itself to my hips nicely as I type this!!!) :0

I also grabbed up some Mars candy too. Each candy bar came to 25 cents, for a grand total of $7 in candy!! CRaZy HuH???

I bought 2 Midnight for Menopause and 3 NatuRelief, I used $1 MQ for each one to get a total of $25 RR back.  It is like cash in my pocket while the items are on my shelf!! WooHooo…

In all, I bought $25 in medicine, which I got back in RR, and I bought $11 in Refreshers for free and got the $11 back in RRs. The candy was purchased with previous RRs that I came into the store with. Sound like a trade to me!

So I still have $36 in RR to work with next time!!!!

I love Shopping With Coupons!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Walgreens Gameplan for 5/13

Well, I’m not too interested in this weeks sale ad for Walgreens so I wasn’t going to make a gameplan. I think I am just going to take advantage of the MoNeYmAkInG Starbucks this week. But my sister is new to couponing at Walgreens and needed a little help. So, my gameplan this week is acually custom made for her. I hope it helps others too. I focused on MidNite for Menopause, Kotex, Starbucks Refreshers and Schick Razors. The total will be $10 or less for her, since she has $11 in RR from last week. For everyone else, it will be about $20-25. But you will get about $80 worth of products! :D

Just a word of caution, …. if you buy the MidNite and NatuRelief, don’t try to roll the RR to purchase the other. They are made by the same company, so you most likely won’t get another RR at the end of the transaction if you do this.

Juicy SCORE @ Jewels : )~

Ocean Spray SCORE!

My daughter is a HUGE fan of juice. She can drink 3-4 of of these in a week and would probably drink  more if I let her. So, I got excited a couple weeks ago when there was a coupon for B1G1 Ocean Spray on coupons.com. I knew it was a GREAT coupon, so I printed 2 from each of my computers at home and two from a couple computers at work. I was able to get a total of 8 coupons.  Then the hard part…. I had to wait and hope that someone would put them on sale before they expired.

I am sure you can imagine how excited I was to see an AWESOME promotion at Jewels this week. They had Ocean Spray juice on sale for 2/$5. And if you used their store coupon in their ad, you could get a free 4 pack of the sparkling Ocean Sprays for FREE! I was thrilled to find that they allowed me to use my B1G1 free coupon with their promotion. I managed to score two 64 oz bottles of juice and a 4 pack of sparkling juice for $2.50!!!! That is $0.83 each! :D In total, I got (16) bottles and (8) 4 packs for $20!!! This would normally have cost $3.50 for each bottle and $4.09 for the 4 packs. I scored $88.72 worth of juice for $20!! That is a savings of 76+%!!

All this for $2.50!!

I love Shopping With Coupons!! :D :D :D

Gameplan for Walgreens 5/6 was a SUCCESS!

I was so excited to go to Walgreens this week, that I went right after working a 12 hour night shift! The transactions took A LOT longer than expected and I had to change registers 4 times, but I managed to work my gameplan. It worked beautifully too. The only major snag I ran into (which is also the cause for the multiple register changes) was the $8 RR generated by the Complete Lens Solution seemed to shut down the new system when they scanned it. The manager finally got it to work when he manually entered it into their system.

I changed up a few things though. The store I went to did not have 6 Completes, as I had in my plan, so I eliminated the final transaction. Also, I found some more of the Got2B hairspray on clearance for $1.62, so I grabbed them up. There were 3 total. I didn’t have anymore coupons for them, but they were still a great deal, so I bought them anyhow. Also, I added a candy since they didn’t have enough Hunts tomato sauces either. The shelf was nearly bare when I got there. It was 99 cents, but I love the coconut chews, so I splurged. I also added a Fiber One, since I am out and they came to $1.49 each after coupons. When I made my gameplan, I didn’t realized I only had 1 of the B1G1 Pantene coupons left (I shared some of the ones I had with family and friends) leaving a hole in 2 of my transactions. I think I did pretty good for having to make a few last minute changes to my gameplan though.

Even with all the additions and changes, I did pretty good. I estimated I would spend about $20 plus tax, but that was before I found and bought the clearanced hairspray and candy. In the end, I spent $27.49 plus tax. I purchased about $160 worth of products. And I have $14 left in RRs!!

With everything factored in, I saved approximately 92%!! :D

I love Shopping With Coupons!! :D :D :D

More deals had at Walgreens this week!

Ok…. So I kept reading on all the blogs that the register rewards associated with the U by Kotex was still rolling. I have been really hesitant to try this after the Pepsi Next register rewards didn’t roll like the blogs were saying. Some people were blogging that it was probably working by region or by states. I wasn’t too willing to risk losing my register reward if it didn’t roll, like the Pepsi Next didn’t. But, of course, it is always in the back of your mind. So, I did it. I bit the bullet and gave it a try. IT WORKED! I rolled one register reward 20 times total at 3 stores. Each time, the new $3 register reward printed! I added a caramel to each transaction and paid .32 cents plus tax! WHAT A DEAL!

I also found more Pantene on clearance for $4.29. Between the B1G1 MQ and the B1 G1 1/2 off sale, I only paid $1.07 for each bottle of Pantene shampoo. And I just LOVE Pantene. I only wish I could find some conditioner on clearance. Maybe in a couple weeks when Walgreens runs another B1G1 1/2 off sale. I think I will hold onto a few of the B1G1 MQs for that sale.

I splurged and paid a whopping $3 for a replacement calculator, since my last one gave up on me after about 15 years of use. I guess it was time for a new one anyhow. I definately got my money out of that one! All these calculations really takes a toll on the calculators! :D

I also stopped off a CVS to pick up the free Colgate. (I have 2 cards for 2 seperate households, so I was able to get 4 free). I almost passed on the free toothpaste since I have so much, but I figured it was free and it will be four more to donate. Even if I can’t use it, someone can.

The Dawn is my favorite dishsoap. It was on sale for 0.99 and I had a .50 MQ, so I grabbed on of them too.

Between both stores, I spent $16.51 plus tax for about $150 worth of merchandise. That is a savings of 89% savings!

WOW!! I love Shopping With Coupons!!! :D :D :D

Walgreens Trip 4/29

Today was exhausting! It started rough, got better, got rough again and then got better. But I have to say I’m pooped!

First trip, original gameplan

My gameplan for this mornings trip to Walgreens went horribly wrong on the second transaction. After realizing my error, I bought a few more items that were great bargains, then I cut my losses, headed home to regroup, and then tried again. The second trip was more of a success.

If you want to see my original gameplan for today, you can find it **here**.

My first transaction went as planned. The problem came in when I made the mistake of using my Depends RR on the second transaction containing the Kotex product. Since they are both from Kimberly Clark, the Kotex RR did not print. (You cannot use a RR from one company on another product from that company and get a RR on the second item.) That put the brakes on my plan at the beginning of transaction #3, since my savings are directly related to “rolling” my RRs from one transaction into another. (I refer to this as “recycling my RRs”, since “rolling RRs” is often used to describe the rare occasions when you buy an item and use the RR that transaction produces to buy the identical product and receiving another RR….. and on and on.)

On the bright side, I did find some great deals this morning. There was a fabulous Got2B hair products promotion going on. If you bought one for $5.99, you got a second one free. I still had a bunch of $3/1 MQs left, so I bought a bunch of the hairspray. My daughter LOVES this stuff! There was one Got2B product on clearance for $3.29 also. So I purchased 4 hairsprays and the root growth product. I got 5 products for 29 cents!!!

My total was $17.32 and I had $8 remaining in RR’s.

Second trip, revamped gameplan

After coming home and regrouping, I revamped my plan and headed back out to try again. This trip was much better. All transactions went smoothly. I used the 39 cent 3M tape as my fillers. I did add 1 additional transaction to the end. I had 2 final Got2B MQs left, so I bought 2 more hairsprays. Both were FREE!! :D

My final total was $5.68 and I have a $3 RR remaining.

Just an FYI…. the Pantene items were included in a B1G1 1/2 off promotion that Walgreens was running. When I tried using the B1G1 MQs, the cashiers from both stores that I went to tried to make the 50% off bottle free. I kindly informed them that the MQ entitles me to a full priced bottle for free and the 50% off bottle is a Walgreens promotion, not the manufacturers promotion on the coupon. By making the 50% off bottle free, I was not getting the Walgreens promotion, but instead, I was only getting my B1G1 free discount. I also kindly reminded her that the MQ states the manufacturer reimburses the store for up to $4.99, so the Walgreens company will not be losing any money by allowing for the full priced bottle to be free. Both cashiers were uncertain of the proper protocol, so they contacted managers, who agreed with what I told them. So, if you run into this problem at your stores, be sure to KINDLY remind them that it is the full priced bottle that should be free, not the 50% off bottles. If they give you guff, be sure to have the Walgreens coupon policy on hand. It states a coupon may be used with a sale. Therefore, you should receive one free AND 50% off one (not just one free). :D

In the future, I will be sure to check the companies supplying the RRs before I make my gameplans!

Happy Shopping With Coupons!! :D :D :D
